I was glad to see so many friends at the meetup last night and really excited to see how dedicated our San Diego runners are to improving their athletic abilities. Despite it being night time, there was a large turnout and great enthusiasm. This is a great sign that San Diego is fast becoming the #1 running city in America. Christine, the meetup host, has never looked better or stronger as she is fresh off her stunning sub-4 hour marathon race which qualifies her for the Boston Marathon. Daniel showed up fit and ready to do the upcoming Carlsbad race. Steve Conner is continuing to look strong as an inspiration to me and many others with his long time dedication and performance in the lomg distance running community. Ted is THE running man who leads another great group on Friday night in Balboa Park and he is also getting ready to race a full marathon soon. Me, I'm having surgery this week, but I look to these great athletes as encouragement that I will race a marathon soon. Run On!

I'm back to 5 miles in 35 minutes. Which is a miracle considering the major surgery I had on my knee in July. I'm having another serious surgery this week, but I'm checking in with the awesome Balboa Park running squad.
