Road Runner Sports Adventure Run

The Road Runner Sports Adventure Run is back! This 60-minute scavenger run is filled with hundreds of friends, giveaways, raffle prizes, music and a Stone Brewing beer garden. Just as in the past, Adventure Run happens the second Thursday of every month from March-October at our Kearny Mesa location. Whether you're a veteran runner, new to the sport or just want to walk a mile or two after work, this event is for you. Best of all, it's FREE!

How it works:

The checkpoint map is revealed, you run/walk to various checkpoints to grab free raffle tickets and return within an hour. There is no set course! You come up with a gameplan to reach as many checkpoints as possible.

When it all happens:

5:00pm - Registration opens. Show up early to mingle, check out the vendor booths and snag some test product to try during the run.

6:30-7:30pm - A giant map of Kearny Mesa is revealed. You're given a pen and paper and have to jot down checkpoint locations. Run wherever you want. Make some friends. The farther the checkpoint, the more raffle tickets given. Checkpoints will close at 7:30pm.

7:30-8:00pm - Free raffle and after party with music, beer from Stone Brewing and more! Get back on time because the raffle begins shortly after 7. Once the raffle is over, the after party begins at Players Sports Bar with food and drink deals.

Feel free to RSVP here to let your Meetup friends know you will attend. But make sure to pre-register at the official Adventure Run website by 3pm on event day to receive a complimentary beer!

    What's the age group?!

Lisa, sorry . . . While most of the other Meetup runs are just SDR/Meetup people, the Adventure Run is a huge mix of people. We tried an SDR booth and gathering once, but it didn't really work. I recommend trying some of the other weekly Meetups to meet other runners.

How can I find everyone? This is my first event. I'm new in town also. Thanks!

Hi Maureen, funny you mention this as Bryon, our event host, will actually be completing his ice bucket challenge at the end of the event. What did you have in mind for yours?
