Come out and play at the beach with us!!! We've been doing the Tuesday morning run at the beach for over a few years now. It's been wonderful to see all of you come and go and those of you who are regulars. Keep in mind that this run happens rain or shine. For those of you who have been wanting get an early start to your day but haven't been able to talk your body into waking up early enough, this week is your chance. :o)
We are kicking it up a notch for those who want to improve their running with a speed workout. If you'd like to come out and do the standard run, you are welcome. There will be people doing both options.
TURBO CHARGED WORKOUT:
Lately, what we have been doing is turbo charging our feet by running in the loose sand closest to the sea wall. We start at the bathrooms near the meeting place and run in the sand to the bathrooms at the PB lifeguard tower. It's a total of 4 miles there and back.
STANDARD WORKOUT AND MILEAGE:
The 4 mile option is from Mission Beach, north to Crystal Pier and Back to Mission Beach. The 5 mile option is from Mission Beach to Crystal Pier, back to Mission Beach and continue to South Mission and back to Mission Beach. The 7 mile option is from Mission Beach to pass Crystal Pier to the end of grass of Tourmaline Surf Park near Law Street, turn around and go back south to Mission Beach and continue on to South Mission before turning back to the start. AND...when the tide is low there's an option to run on the beach as well. Run at your conversational pace and enjoy the beach.

The train leaves at 5:50am as a matter of respect for those who have a boss. Most people are at a conversational pace of 9 minute / mile. ***If you are slower than a 9min/mile conversational pace, you are welcome to join us. Please make a note in your RSVP so that others who are at your pace can plan to come and join you*** It's time for shorts and tank tops and runner's tan lines. We're outta there by 7am.
