SD's Financial Guru George Chamberlin ... His Seminars Are On The Web

I apologize to the meetup members who were unable to register for last night's financial seminar by George Chamberlin since it reached full capacity earlier on. I recently heard about it so I was a bit late in my posting for the event.

However, I discovered that all seminars of his are taped and viewable via webinars at the San Diego County Credit Union's website. These are available to the public ... you do not need to be a SDCCU member to view these webinars. Click on this link to access http://www.sdccu.com/pages/memed/webinars.asp

Due to his popularity, I realize now that his seminars fill up fast so I'll do my best to post these as soon as I heard word of them. The credit union also raffled off prizes such as theatre tickets which was a nice surprise.

Here's a synopsis of my experience at last night's seminar:

George proved again why he's earned the reputation as San Diego's financial guru. He said 'stay the course' with the stock market and I will. The statistics support him that on the average the market has more than beaten the rate of inflation. He's 100% in it and favors those that pay dividends. By my own experience, I'd say he's right. I weathered the tech bubble earlier this century and all other types of bubbles and I still have almost double of what I had initially put in. You can't get that kind of return with a regular savings account or CD. He gave the audience food for thought, whether or not to do a Roth conversion since a regulation regarding that has changed. He's got a good sense of humor too. It was almost like watching a comedian at the same time. The event reached full capacity and some meetup folks were unable to attend. That's how popular this guru is. However, there will be more seminars by George to come and I'll post these as soon as I hear word of them.
