Crazy (or Crazee) Burger, in North Park, is one of the places where we have our Stammtisch. Wolfgang is from Munich, Bavaria and Lothar is from Swabia. Besides burgers they have salads, German beers and European wines on the menu. When Stammtisch meets, they have a bratwurst/sauerkraut/potato salad special. A couple of Bavarian and Swabian "Jungs" trying to sell hamburgers to Americans seems a bit like trying to sell Snow Cones to Eskimos, but they seem to be making a success of it. That's why they call it "crazy". Congratulations Wolfgang and Lothar!

"Stammtisch-Lite" is a German language and cultural appreciation group for those who are learning to speak German or just want to talk about things German. All levels are welcome to participate in the meetings from beginner to native speaker. The meetings have typically about 15-20 participants with the conversation being about 50-60% in German.
There is another group where German is exclusively spoken.
Members that are ready to try speaking only in German are welcome to attend the other meetings as well. The requirement is not so much conversational level as willingness to not speak English during the meeting.

Note: A "Stammtisch" in Germany is a regulars' table at a bar or restaurant where the locals meet.
