It's been way too long since we've gotten together to swap stories and advice. Let's do it again this Saturday while pretending we're in China at Imperial Mandarin restaurant. We should have their banquet room pretty much to ourselves.
This place is an institution in San Diego and was one of the first authentic places to get Chinese food, long before even Jasmine and Emerald were glimmers in their owners' eyes.
For simplicity's sake, we'll order a bunch of dishes for everyone to share, and this should come to about $11 per person, plus tax and tip. This will probably include:
Minced Beef with Tofu Soup
Salt & Pepper Shrimp
Steamed Whole Fish
Come prepared with any questions or concerns you have about an upcoming trip, and the more experienced travelers (or those who have recently been to your destination) will be happy to help you out.
Likewise, those who have been on the road recently, please tell us about your journeys.
