Before we all head off for our winter holidays, let's get together one final time in 2008 and talk travel.
This time, we'll meet in a cozy Korean coffeehouse. These kinds of places are all the rage in South Korea, as a respite from the crowded and noisy streets. They typically have comfortable seating and offer coffees, teas, boba drinks, and shaved ice desserts (called "bingsu" - see http://en.wikipedia.o... for more info). Broadway Coffee also offers grilled panini and always has soft jazz music playing over their speakers. In fact, this place has become my new favorite place to study.
Bring stories of travels past and hopes of travel future. We especially welcome those who have not yet ventured out on their own and are hoping to glean some wisdom and comfort from those more experienced.
Please purchase at least one drink and tip well, so that we may be invited back. Most drinks are in the $3 to $5 range.
At 8 o'clock, those interested can head off together to one of the many eateries located within easy walking distance to continue our conversations and fill our stomachs.
