What place are you hoping to visit soon?

Brazil, Chile, Middle East

What is your job/occupation/what do you do to allow you to continue to travel!?

We own income property in Palm Beach County, FL & visit it 2x annually. Mac's Home Automation business is waning & he's near retirement. Sue is a retired journalist who has also published food, travel, theater & film articles.

What's your travel style? Are you a hosteler, a 5-star only, or somewhere in between? Are you more of a planner or a happy-go-lucky?

We're way beyond hostels but only do 4-stars when included in a tour or we get a great Priceline deal. We plan somewhat but then allow serendipity to take over & lead the way.

We've traveled in organized groups in Thailand, Turkey, Sourth America, North Africa, & then spent a week or two disorganized on our own & we'd like to continue this pattern with cruises, too. Always seeking new travel adventures & enthusiasts.

What Mac & Sue G. is saying about this Meetup Group

My husband & I found many kindred spirits & we all easily shared our travel experiences. The only turn-off was the attempt of authors to autograph & sell their writing to group members. Although the pressure wasn't intense, I didn't like being put in the position of saying no. Most of us are travel savvy enough & computer savvy enough not to rely on these books. Being asked to buy one from an author was something I didn't expect. During the decades of travel, some of my travel adventures have been published by mainstream media but I am reticent about passing them around even for free. So if the self-promotion products were limited or curtailed altogether, it would feel more comfortable for me. Other than that very minor issue, it was a great, relaxing time spent with interesting, experienced, savvy folks who we'd like to see again.
