Spend a weekend by the shoreline immersed in the natural beauty of California. This backpacking weekend long retreat will focus on our relationship with nature, inner strength and community.
There will be yoga sessions on the beach, morning meditations, chanting, dancing, hiking, rope swinging, self discovery, laughing and all in all enjoying our lives & our company.
Delicious vegetarian meals will be provided but bring snacks and plenty of water for day hikes.
We will be staying at Wildcat Campground which is a 6 mile hike from the trailhead. The campground is situated by the ocean and a mile from Alamere Falls which is a gorgeous waterfall that enters the Pacific ocean. To cover the cost of the campground, backpacking permits, meals and instruction, this weekend retreat will cost $80-125. If you can give more, we can set up a scholarship program for those who wish to attend but have limited funds.
What to bring:
Water (there is a fillup water station at the campground)
Hiking & water appropriate lightweight shoes
Snacks and enough food for you to be happy on the hikes in and out
A journal for self exploration exercises
Change of clothes (including warmer layers for the night weather)
Yoga mat (if you would like one, we'll be practicing on the beach so its not necessary to carry)

12:00 Meet at Palomarin Trailhead (Car pools are encouraged and will be arranged)
12:00-12:30 Orientation, Introduction, Set intentions for the weekend
12:30-4:00 Hike to campsite & set up camp
4:00-5:30 Meditation and journaling self exploration on beach while dinner is prepared
5:30-7:00 Eat and enjoy the bounty of good food
7:00-9:00 Chanting, singing practices, dancing & free movement around a beach fire
9:00 Wind down for bed
7:00 Good morning yoga session on the beach
9:30-4:00 Stroll to Alamere Falls, Play, Lunch, Hike 2.5 miles to Bass Lake where we'll swing jump in and continue to play, nature immersion meditative exercises, Hike back to campground
4:00-5:00 Free time/dinner preparation
5:00-6:30 Deliciousness time (aka dinner)
6:30-8:30 Explore astronomy, spirituality, the chakra system and how we can use this to our benefit in our everyday lives
8:30-9:00 Check in & sleepy time
7:00-8:30 Morning meditation & chanting on the beach
9:30-11:00 Yoga session and walking meditation at Alamere Falls
11:00-5:00 Pack up and hike back to parking lot
5:00-5:30 Closing ceremony and wrap-up
