Alamere Falls, yoga on beach, swim in the lake

This is a gorgeous hike.  It is one of my favorites in the bay area.  The trail follows the Pacific Ocean and passes by lakes where we can swim and ends on the beach where Alamere Falls leads straight into the Pacific Ocean.  It will be an all day event, please bring some lunch, we'll eat by the waterfall.  I'll lead a gentle hatha yoga class in the sand (feel free to leave your mat at home for this one if you don't mind getting a bit dirty, tis so nice to feel the sand at your feet).

This is a moderate to difficult hike.  Its 11 miles round trip with 600 feet elevation change.  5.5 miles to Wildcat camp where I'll lead yoga on the beach and we'll walk along the ocean to the waterfall where we will eat lunch.  There will be a little rock climbing around the side of the waterfall (more of a hands and feet scramble). On the way back to the parking lot, we will spend sometime at the lake to swim, nap, meditate, or generally what your heart desires.   Here are some photos just of the falls (the whole hike is beautiful):

Parts of the trail have poison oak, so bringing long clothing is encouraged.  As well as a bathing suit, and sunscreen!

Car pools can be arranged and are welcomed!

A $15-20 dana (donation) is greatly appreciated for yoga and hike facilitation.  As always, it helps fund meetup and helps cultivate good karma!  ;)  Come if you have no funds as well, everyone should be able to enjoy this practice and be immersed in nature, it is a truly beautiful experience.
