Drawing the figure, sculpting the figure, plein air watercolors, skething in museums, people watching and secretly drawing them, baking, model making... I keep adding more to the list every day
I have about 5 projects at the moment, in different stages of completion. Working on a waterbased clay sculpture, a wire sculpture of a tree, a couple paintings... I love playing with many mediums.
Charcoal, Pastel, Watercolors, Guache, Plastaline, water based clay, Acylic, Digital, anything I can get my hands on....
I started drawing the figure around 2002. I studied intensely at the Atelier School of Classical Realism in Oakland, gaining extensive knowledge on anatomy and figure drawing. I then taught Figure Drawing at ImageMovers Digital Film company.
I love to bake. I love the idea of taking raw ingredients and creating something so wonderful using the best ingredients and just the right ratios and timing.
I'm a classically trained Figure Artist. I teach anatomy and Figure Drawing. I love the experience of drawing the figure and practicing the art of letting go. I hope to keep drawing and learning the rest of my life.
