Introduction
Hi. I moved to San Francisco this year and am interested in meeting other artists and continuing my art education. Figure drawing was one of my favorite parts of college but now that I've graduated and moved, I haven't had the opportunity.
Do you have a current art project? Idea? Do you need help with it?
I've been developing a graphic novel off and on for years although since I moved to San Francisco this year, that's taken a backseat to maintaining my sketchbook. I'm currently looking to publish a collection of my sketchbook drawings.
What is your figure drawing experience and what would you like from a figure drawing meetup?
I've been figure drawing for 7 years. I started in college and attended weekly sessions for years until I graduated last year. I miss it a lot and am looking to get back into artistic shape. I'm especially interested in gesture and clothing studies.
What are your passions?
I have a strong love for music and love to discover new artists, attend concerts, and talk about music.
Besides making art - how do you express yourself creatively?
I love to sing and I still write quite a bit.
What types of art materials/mediums do you like to work with?
I love mixed media and discovering how different media interact with each other. I think my favorite medium is ink, though. It can be very bold or subtle and it forces me to be decisive and thoughtful. It's also very versatile.
