[Inner Richmond] Dinner at B Star Bar ($38)

Join our dinner at one of my favorite restaurants, B Star Bar! With more than 1,000 reviews on Yelp, this fantastic Asian fusion restaurant has a solid 4 starsWe'll enjoy the best dishes on their menu family style!

"Duck Lettuce Cups were a hit, with shredded duck cooked with and flavoring a mince of carrot, onion, lop cheong (sweet pork sausage) and shitake mushrooms. The savory mélange and shavings of red bell pepper all fit snugly in crisp romaine lettuce leaves. No utensils necessary." - FoodGPS

$38 nonrefundable ticket covers our dinner, tax, tip and PayPal transaction fee, and is required for attendance. Drop-in diners will not be given a seat. Additional dishes and beverages may be purchased separately. Menu subject to substitutions and adjustments based on the number of diners and seasonality.

I agree, delicious and tasty. But if you closed your eyes, you would have no idea where it came from. Vaguely Asian, but no assetive flavor. BTW, that chicken dish was truly delicious.

I think that's the case for many Asian fusion restaurants in the Bay Area. B Star Bar describes themselves as featuring "Asian-inspired foods. Our dishes are inspired by the flavors of Thailand, China, Burma, India, Japan, and of course our home here in California."

Tasty, generous portions, but not very highly spiced. Toned down for the US crowd?

I've never been to Burma, so I haven't had a truly authentic version for comparison. I thought every dish was absolutely delicious :D
