Suggested by Teresa: Let's share a picnic in the park & watch a live production of The Taming of the Shrew. This will be a potluck picnic. Please bring food/drinks/snacks to share & write in the comments below what you are bringing. For those who can, please bring a picnic blanket, floor pillow, or anything appropriate for a picnic. Since this is a public park, please clean up after yourself at the end & pitch in where cleanup help is needed. Details will be sent to those going on how to find me/us.
- The Taming of the Shrew -
Welcome to Renaissance-era Padua, Italy, where two very unconventional people meet, fight, and finally fall in love – but not before a feast of wit and outrageous physical comedy. “The Taming of the Shrew” features plenty of your favorite Shakespearean twists, hilarious clowns and ridiculous disguises, along with a subversive and challenging love story. Who is the bigger Shrew?
Shakespeare in the Park is free, but they do ask for donations at the end of the play. Please bring $5 cash for the donation. The play is approximately 2 hrs long with a half hour intermission.
$1 nonrefundable RSVP to join our group. No shows and cancellations made within 48 hours of the event will be recorded as a demerit by our group. Individuals with demerits may be removed from the "Attending" list for future events.
