Suggested by Sara: We'll be working up an appetite for brunch at Baker Street Bistro by starting with a "hike" in the Presidio. While most of the city will be either at Outside Lands or staying as far away as possible, we'll be walking the line in between and getting some fresh air before trying out Baker Street Bistro's Pain Perdu (their famous soft and fluffy cinnamon French Toast), Oeufs Benedicte, and Croque Madame. If we aren't too tired of the fresh air and the weather cooperates, we may have brunch al fresco.
So, let's get together a group of 6 total and meet at 10am at the Lombard Gate (Lombard & Lyons) and walk the Presidio Promenade trail out and back (about 4 miles roundtrip). We will probably stop a few minutes at the Crissy Field Overlook, especially if some of the group have not been there before. The trail is paved and is rated as easy to moderate. We plan to go at a pretty good clip so we should be able to finish the walk/hike in about 1.5 hours. Then, we'll walk over to enjoy a much deserved brunch at Baker Street Bistro to accompany the continued conversation and laughs!
With 4 stars on Yelp!, Baker Street Bistro was also featured on Check, Please! Bay Area earlier in the year and after watching it, it's on the list to try for dinner as well! Perhaps a future SF Foodies meetup... ;-)
*NOTE: Once we start walking, I will not be monitoring meetup comments. Please plan ahead accordingly.
