CogniMem Overview & Kinect Hand Recognition Demo

Hey, Machine Learning members-

Chris McCormick, an applications engineer with CogniMem Technologies, will be giving an overview of the company and their unique hardware neural network, as well as showing off CogniMem's Kinect hand recognition demo.

Check out these videos of the tech with different applications:

Kinect Finger Recognition For Games -

Kinect & Google Earth -

World of Goo with Kinect -

The World of Goo demo will be set up for everyone to try, so we'll see who can get the farthest before their arms fall off!

When and Where: The presentation and demo will be held on Saturday, September 8th from 10 am to noon. It will take place at The Loft at 821 State Street, located on the second floor just above Rite Aid. The entrance to the staircase is off of State Street, and the closest parking garage is on Canon Perdido just west of State. If you have any questions about the event, contact Jim: [masked]

Very interesting to see how the supervised learning algorithms and hardware worked to make the Kinect more capable. And the game demo went off without a glitch, too.
