I received my PhD in Social Science from Caltech in 1999, and I've been a professor at UCSB since 2000. My particular area of analytic research is discrete choice methods.
I'm a professor at UCSB, where I teach research methods in the political science department. I use R for teaching and research. I have a little experience with d3.js, and I'm interested in learning other analytic skills, such as Python.
Great first meeting!
