Very enlightening relative to the hard work and difficulties involved in small-scale, environmentally conscious farming. Gerri brought a nice snack.

It was wonderful to hear Jack's story about starting his farm and the realities of life as a small scale farmer. He gave us hope and inspiration for growing food and supporting farmers. It was wonderful to pick some vegetables (and walnuts) and purchase food.

It was great to find out about a little spot in our community that I didn't know existed. It was interesting to hear how the farmer got started and what his challenges have been. Who knew you could make a living on an acre of land. And the fresh walnuts were yummy. The experiences was made better by the fact that I could ride my bike.
