Pick Luscious Blackberres at Sommerset Farms

Let's taste and pick berries in the morning before its too hot in the Santa Ynez Valley. There might be raspberries and strawberries also.

One of the Farmers might be able to give us a tour of the farm depending upon his or her schedule.

Afterwards we can enjoy brunch at Mattei's tavern or some other restaurant who supports our local farmers. Any ideas?

Berries were few and small today. It was still wonderful to be outside amongst the vines and enjoy seeing each other. Thanks for coming.

Gerry, I wasn't able to go pick berries, but if there is another planned trip in the making, I might be able to go.

    Hi Everyone
Prices will vary throughout the summer.
Usually no "deals" at Summerset.. Just opportunity to pick fresh berries slightly cheaper than farmers market. Sally, the farmer's Phone number is (805)[masked]
They are located on Highway 154 just before Los Olivos town off Edison. Drive slow...they have large sign on left. Car pool leaving at 9:30.
Still thinking about lunch. Mattei's tavern has a brunch but may be $$ for some.
In Solvang we can visit "Succulent Cafe" or "Roots 246". ..

They have a Facebook page, and I dug around a little online, but I cannot find out what the per=basket cost of the berries is. They're posting 2 ears of bicolor corn for $1 right now. Link: https://www.facebook.com/SummersetFarm?fref=ts

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
