Farm Tour and Talk by Geoff Lawton about Food Forest at Casitas Valley Farm

Casitas Valley Farm and Quail Springs Permaculture is honored and excited to offer this evening talk offered by Geoff Lawton, International Permaculture Educator and Designer and the founder of the Permaculture Research Institute of Australia, near to Santa Barbara and Ojai.

We will hear from Geoff about his experiences with establishing and tending to food forest systems often referred to as Forest Gardens. These diverse, stable, resilient food systems, that mimic the structure of a natural forest, are self-sustaining, land healing, water purifying, carbon-sequestering and are possibly one of the most nutritionally productive systems for the future of food for humanity especially as we enter into the age of climate instability. Geoff is a leader in the field of food forestry establishment and has an acclaimed video that has made its way around the world titled, "Establishing a Food Forest."

Join us for a tour of Casitas Valley Farm, a demonstration site for financial permaculture and family farming, a potluck and for this very special presentation by Geoff Lawton. A limited number of tickets will be sold and campsites are available for an additional fee.

This is the new paradigm in land use and relationship; very exciting to see it in action.

I thoroughly enjoyed the farm tour led by Warren. His knowledge and appreciation for the land is inspirational. The potluck was a foodie's joy with flavors galore! Geoff's talk was heartfelt and full of interesting information. Thank you all for coming.

I asked for a refund from the farm contact since I paid early on at their site...but she has not responded. Please Gerri, see if you can explain to them that I cannot make it and would appreciate a credit to my PayPal account. Sorry to be a bother.

Ouch...just read their note to us all and see that it is not just our group of 24 but rather 150. And so many things to bring too. Gerri, only expect me please if you see the whites of my eyes. It is a regular work day for me, and I wasn't expecting to be in a crowd. Would hate to miss this...but.....

Kendy...you can arrange your meetup settings so you indicate that you do NOT choose to get all the emails.

In the future, if personal comments could be made by replying only to the person with whom you're interested in talking, you'll save lots of others from receiving your emails.
    Thanks!

I will be working in downtown LA until 2 PM...so hope I can get there in time. If I am not there, I am on the freeway, so I will try to catch up with you at the farm.

Confused Gerri...signed up on their site and paid. Thereafter got another email asking for all sorts of info. What is that about? Can I now just show up at the farm, or is it mandated to give all that other info?
