Pick apricots at Vincent Farm Apricots - This Sunday afternoon

Update: Trees are ripening everyday. There are some ready now. There will be more next week but I am scheduling our Meetup on Sunday hoping that the daily sun will ripen the apricots and there will be apricots for us to pick. This is a popular place

From Bonnie with Vincent Farm Apricots:

This year's U-Pick Royal Blenheim apricot crop looks plentiful. As many of you know, our trees are dry-farmed which means that they are not irrigated. So due to the lack of rain this year, the fruit is on the small side. This has never affected the flavor. We estimate the fruit may be ready for picking around the 3rd or 4th week in June due to the overcast weather. This is just a guess as the rate of ripening depends on the weather. At present, the fruit is still green. NOTE: For variety, there are a a few Orange Red and Robada apricots and 5 Santa Rosa plum trees in the U-Pick field as well. However, it looks as though these trees have not set well this year. Sorry for those of you who are waiting for those fruits. I will let you know more as we know more. Bonnie

It was my first meeting with this group. I didn't meet anyone from the group because I couldn't tell who was the group or the public. Was there a meet up place to go to?
I picked the fruit and that was fun. I did chat with the people at the trees but they weren't part of the group. Hoping to meet some of you at the next meeting.

What a perfect midsummer day in the farm picking apricots! Thank you, Gerri and Bonnie, for organizing this and letting us enjoy the sweet sunshine bounty!
