I was just about to say the same thing, only with the request that you specify an age range. There is a big difference between what is ok for an 8 year old and what is ok for a 3 year old, for example -- please don't just say "kids ok."  Hope there will be some events I can bring my 4 year old twins to!  We already picked apricots at Vincent Farm and they are delicious!  Thanks, Lisa

AT, Gerri! Please make sure to specify whether events welcome children. I travel with two girls who already cook, pick and grow their own foods. If I can't bring them along, well, we'll just have to find other locavore outlets. :) We're particularly interested in the Fairview Gardens project (thus the suggestion), but apricot picking and the locavore picnic also sound great.

Keep those ideas comin' everyone!

Hello enthusiastic foodies,
I am planning a cooking class with Fairview Gardens...the farm is unable to provide classes onsite however we can use a kitchen nearby.
Also, John De Bruin, the cattle farmer and I are planning an event ... Read morehopefully on July 23.
How about the locavoire picnic at a concert in the park on Thursday nights? OR there is a beautiful farm on Old San Maracos Road that has awesome views that would be great. I am listening to your ideas. I especially like having YOU come up with additional ideas.
Pierre La Fond's Wine Bistro is interested in having us enjoy a meal there.
Also, Vincent's apricot farm is ready for us to visit their farm and pick apricots!!!!
For tomorrow's event at Plow to Porch, please plan to arrive early since parking might be a bit challenging. See you then.
Ciao.
Gerri
