Enjoy a Live Concert with The Waymores– three of Nashville’s finest Songwriters!

The Waymores – Tom Kimmel, Sally Barris and DonHenry – are three of Nashville’s finest singer-songwriters, best known for their compositions (writers for Ray Charles, Johnny Cash, Trisha Yearwood, Miranda Lambert, Linda Ronstadt and dozens of others) and outstanding solo work (over a dozen albums among them).  But real magic happens when the three unite on stage.

“Your show is exactly what I hoped the Winchester would be hosting when I opened it seven years ago!” — James Mileti, The Winchester, Cleveland, OH

“The Waymores were fantastic!” — Dudley Smith, The Pump House, East Lansing, MI

“I want way more of the Waymores!” — Dana LaChance, The Crimson Moon Cafe, Dahlonega, GA

Don Henry’s songs have been recorded by Ray Charles, Patti Page, Conway Twitty, Kathy Mattea and dozens of other great artists; but they shine brightest when sung by the artist who wrote them.  Long appreciated as one of Nashville’s finest singer-songwriters, Don is revered by fans, critics and peers alike for being one of the most inspiring, entertaining and funny(!) artists you are ever likely to see and hear.

Whether in her own hands or those of hit artists like Martina McBride or Lee Ann Womack, Sally Barris’ music makes an indelible impression.  And while her writing credits mightily impress – her songs have been covered by Trisha Yearwood and Keith Urban, John Michael Montgomery, Kathy Mattea and many others – fans and peers are most captivated by her bright spirit and high mountain soprano.

Tom Kimmel’s business card facetiously reads “Overnight Success,” but the truth is far from it.  After graduating college he worked as a short order cook, bus boy, taxi driver, chef, shipping clerk, lab technician, janitor, waiter, bartender and window washer on his way to establishing himself as an award winning songwriter (Johnny Cash, Linda Ronstadt, Joe Cocker, Randy Travis and a host of others) and critically acclaimed performing artist (seven albums).

Admission to this concert is $15.  Tickets are available here.

Another great evening! Great voices and arrangements. I loved the song about "let the wind chase you"--a very feeling love song. I'd like to hear it again.

I enjoyed the concert. I thought that the more humorous Waymore songs worked the best. I'll miss this concert series. With the abbreviation of the Trinity Backstage series, fans of folk-y music are going to have to wander far to satisfy their jones for live music in that genre. There's SoHO and well, I can't think of another venue in the SB area other than the bars (e.g. James Joyce, Cold Springs Tavern).

I'm sorry that I didn't get to meet up with those from this new MeetUp group. Because I hadn't purchased my ticket early, I arrived at 6:45 to be sure to get in. And then it was so windy that I just stayed inside. So if there was a gathering spot for the group where folks shook hands, I apologize for missing the opportunity to introduce myself.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
