Winter Blues? Cheerup! January Sketchup is Here!

Here we go! It's 2013 and there's lots of drawing for all of us to do. So... put a :-) on your face and Sketchup! New members as well as the usual sketch crew are welcome to drop in for an afternoon of outrageously cheerful sketch time--a great way to get a jump on your resolution to draw more this year!

Do you enjoy drawing or curious to learn more about it? The Santa Cruz Learning-to-Draw Meetup takes place in a friendly, creative studio environment. Share your ideas or phobias about drawing. Experiment with materials. Enjoy a conversation over some pencil doodles or dive into some charcoal sketches from life. This is a great opportunity for adults to meet fellow sketchers (or future fellow sketchers) and have an afternoon of creative fun. It's free! We have plenty of drawing materials on hand. If you've got a sketchbook, bring it along. And if you've got an object you'd like to draw, bring it too. Refreshments are served.

Drawing Improves Your World: New drawing classes are always forming for adults and kids at the Scribbles Institute in Santa Cruz, California. Learn how to use drawing as a tool for work, school, and enjoyment. All ability levels welcome! Our beginner courses are perfect for people who think they can't draw but have the desire to learn basic skills and apply them to everyday life. Our classes and workshops are perfect for artists who want to brush up on their observational sketching skills.

The Scribbles Institute is located at 303 Potrero #59 (Old Sash Mill), Santa Cruz. [masked]  To view student work please visit our website.

We look forward to drawing with you! :-)

Now that the blues are lifted, I'm looking forward to the next Sketchup meeting and hope to get some sketching done before then. Thanks again Rob!

Sorry I couldn't make it. Will there be meetups during the week at all for those that work weekends? I know there aren't a whole lot of us but I'll be doing this until August at least!

So sorry I couldn't join you. Had to run around town gathering costume supplies for Leila. Didn't expect it to be so involved! How was drawing? Looked like you had a huge crowd.
