Meatless Monday Dinner: Eat Hawaiian Food to Help the Environment

Enjoy meatless Hawaiian cuisine! Hula's Island Grill offers an excellent selection of meatless Hawaiian food! They also have extravagant Hawaiian style cocktails!

If you want to socialize at the bar beforehand, arrive at 6:30pm. We'll be seated for dinner at 7pm. There will be a special meatless menu for the event where you can choose from different items. There will be one check per table, so please bring cash if you can. Stay tuned for more details.

Help the Environment

Eating with friends is fun, and even more fun if you're helping the environment at the same time. Reducing animal product consumption helps to reduce your personal contribution to greenhouse gas emissions and climate forcers, including carbon dioxide, methane, black carbon (soot), nitrous oxide, and tropospheric ozone. Plus, eating more veggies is good for you!


We'll make a reservation, so please RSVP and show up if you plan to go. To make sure our events are a success, if you're a no-show three times you won't be able to RSVP for the dinners anymore (it's nothing personal).

Be sure to check in with me so we can mark you as present on the RSVP list. That way I won't accidentally mark you as a no-show. Things get a little crazy as people arrive so I could easily make a mistake.

Hope to see you there! Multiple meetup groups are attending. If you'd like to meet more people than you're sitting next to, feel free to walk around and mingle with other tables. There will be people with a variety of eating styles at the event; all we ask is that everyone be respectful and kind to each other, and order a meatless dish to help the environment.

Our normal Meatless Monday dinners are the first Monday of the month at 6:30pm. We might have other special dinners on other Mondays of the month.

What Is Meat?

This is a question I have been asked. For clarity, it is the flesh of animals (kingdom Animalia) as used for food. Feel free to look up this kingdom if you like; for example, it does include fish and various sea creatures.
