Walk West Cliff

Let's get out for our weekly walking exercise. :-)

We meet at the Surfer Monument (= at the bronze surfer statue; NOT at the light house) for our round trip to Natural Bridges and back, which is about 4 to 4.5 miles long, and usually takes us about 1.5 hours. We try to walk at a rather fast pace (not fast enough for some, I know *g*) and so, we usually don't dawdle or stroll along the cliff (unless we see exciting wildlife, of course). We're brisk walkers (or we try to be). :-)

If the pace is too fast for you or you don't want to walk the entire distance - no problem (REALLY!). Take a break on a bench, and we pick you up on our way back. Bring a friend, start out with us and walk at your own pace - we pick you up on the way back, too. :-) Also, if you have to be somewhere and cannot join us for the entire walk - no problem! You're always allowed to turn around.

Any questions, remarks, comments, etc? Please call or text me at 408.355.8870. Afraid to call because you don't know how to pronounce my name...? :-) No problem; it sounds like "Mycah".

Parking: The smaller side streets off West Cliff Drive closer to downtown are usually good (e.g. Santa Cruz St, Monterey St, or also Pelton Ave, ...). When the weather is great during summer time, it might take a little longer to find a spot though...

The Walk West Cliff-RSVP-Policy: Easy as pie...

If you want to come, please RSVP. It makes it so much easier to know for how many people we're waiting...

If you RSVP'ed and see that you cannot make it, please un-RSVP if possible so that we don't wait for you in vain.

If you RSVP'ed and don't show up (and don't get in touch afterwards)... Well, your loss.:-) Sometimes, this just happens. To ALL of us. But if it happens too often, you might end up being blocked.

Thought I would have recovered from minor surgery by today, but unhappily it is not so. Hope to see you next week! Have a great walk!

Hi all. Excited about this group as I often walk it. Though I normally bring my 1.5yr old in a stroller. I'm fast walker so no issue there, but wanted to make sure this was ok first.

Hi Brandon, of course it's okay. No problem at all - some even bring their babies in "backpacks" and use the extra weight to optimize the exercise factor. :-) Hope to see you on Wednesday, then!
