GREETINGS!

Despite hurricanes and monster storms, elections and regime changes (or not), one of the constants in our lives is poetry and I’m very pleased to announce that the first issue of the new LUMMOX magazine is now available…It has taken me 5 months to put this monster together, and it is indeed a monster: over 200 poets grace it’s 236 pages – poetry, essays, 2 interviews with G. Murray Thomas & Rick Lupert, tributes, reviews and artwork all squeezed into an 8 X 10 format. You can find out more by visiting http://www.lummoxpress.com (click on LUMMOX) -- order a copy or two (makes a nice Holiday present) while you are there and I’ll throw in a bonus surprise!

AND IN OTHER NEWS

This year the poetry world lost a number of “outsider” poets including Leonard J. Cirino and Billy Jones. Both of these men held a special place in my heart, and not just because I had the privilege to publish them, but also because they were good friends and to some degree, mentors.
