Spiritual Poetry Meetup

We had a wonderful time at our April meeting, and I hope you can join us the third Saturday in May!  We'll get together again to share spiritual poetry, light refreshments, and talk about what the poems mean to us. Bring a book of poems or choose a poem from the many books we have on hand – you can read a poem, share copies of a poem, or just listen and chat – whatever feels comfortable. This is a relaxed and welcoming space to meet and get to know others who share a love for poetry and for that which connects us more deeply with spiritual life. Feel free to bring a small snack or finger food if you wish. Looking forward to seeing you there!  (P.S. For the poets among us, we are grateful to you for bringing your insights and heart-knowledge to our group, and for understanding that this is a place to share others' poems, not our own.)

Date & Time: Saturday, May 18th, 4:00pm

1700 Westwood Boulevard, Ste. F (Second Floor)
Los Angeles, CA 90024
At the corner of Westwood Blvd. & Massachusetts Ave., on the east side of Westwood Blvd, in the "Acupuncture and Beyond" Studio.

Thank you for such a heart-felt afternoon! It was amazing how even poems chosen at random fit themes and comments as if they had been planned. Here are the poems people read:
    “Playtime” ~ William Blake
    “The Guest” ~ Kabir
“In Any Gathering” ~ Rumi (aka “Any Chance Meeting”)
    “Mindful” ~ Mary Oliver
“Every Foot a Shrine” ~ St. Thomas Aquinas
    “You Darkness” ~ Rilke
Untitled Poem (aka “The Bride Wants Her Lover” or “My body and mind are in depression because You are not with me”) ~ Kabir
