July 4th After Tea Party BBQ

This Meetup was suggested by Dena Leichnitz.

A rally/party on the Fourth of July. After the Tea Party from 12-5 we then have the bbq from 5-8. People could bring potluck. Since you are the organizer you could make sure we could use the barbecues on the beaches. (They do have barbecues on the beach right or is that Venice?) In either case, people who respond yes could also tell what they are going to bring. Or you can do it by last name. For instance A-G brings entrees H-M brings side dishes N-R brings desserts and S-Z brings drinks. And since we would be at the pier already we could see the fireworks, it would be a fun kind of thing. It would give us a chance to really get to know each other and help build our movement.

Since I am L and that makes me a side dish. I will be potato chips and maybe some potato salad. Also Ronald, I am willing to do whatever you need me to, to help organize this. I am the Singles Co-Chair (that's means President baby and I was "elected" long before Obama. LOL) at my church, so I am used to organizing events, so give me a holler if you need my help. I am really good at getting the legwork done. Me and my son will see you there.

My wife and I will be happy to attend, but since the organization of this thing is nearly non-existent, we'll just bring our own food.

Disorganized.Low turnout.Disorganized.I stayed up for 8 hours...until 4 am making muffins and cole slaw for the event.I did blanket email reminders all over the net.A drunk hispanic tried ripping my husband's American Flag out of his hands...it was an assault. No one did anything...including the numerous cops. I am done. There were like 20 tea parties in the socal area that day.Until organizers get together and plan one huge rally this is pointlessThere were people with petitions,fliers,etc...for their own causes and last time I checked the tea partiys are to be sans that bullshit! But people in california can't be inconvenienced to actually drive out of their comfort zone so to hell with it! (BTW...b 4 you get all "then why don't you organize one?") Well I pretty much have...this one! Next I am disabled and have numerous doctors and procedures but don't feel sorry for me argentina i still do my part...but dammit california!!!!!
