It's time to get to the beach and party!

I decided to start this group because I've always been envious of the larger groups of people hanging out together at the beach on weekends.

Know people all over Los Angeles, managing "friends" has always been annoying so I figured MeetUp is the way to go! The purpose of the group is to play backyard/beach games like KanJam, Beach Volleyball, Frisbee, etc, or just socialize and get a tan.

Feel free to bring food and drinks!

Our group will meet on the beach in Northern Santa Monica /Pac Pal just North of Channel / Chautauqua Rds. at 1 PM on Every OTHER Saturday afternoon.  Parking will be found at a large Will Rogers Lot just past the aforementioned roads.  The actual address is 15100 Pacific Coast Highway near Lifeguard Tower 15.  Parking at the Will Rogers Lot is $9 but other parking can be found on West Channel Road and surrounding streets.  From West Channel, just take the tunnel underneath the PCH and walk about 300 yards North towards lifeguard tower 15.

Those who should join are people that love the beach and meeting new people. Get at me if you have any games to contribute. Right now we are seeking a Cornhole Set or two, a badminton net, and a beach ball!

Please also remember to bring what you normally would to the beach such as: Lotions, water, towels, etc.

Some additional parking tips:

The Temescal Canyon hill has a bunch of free parking provided you don't mind walking from there.  It's probably a 10 minute walk but it's free!  Also, I recommend parking on Channel and Entrada roads as they are also free.  There is also a paid lot on Entrada that will be cheaper than the Will Rogers lot on the PCH (entrance at Temescal Canyon)

Please bear in mind that this is summer and that car parking will be difficult no matter where on the beach you are.  Thankfully our spot isn't as bad as some places in central Santa Monica.  Also be aware that the PCH can be jammed so I suggest planning your route down Channel Road.  Ride a bike, take the bus, carpool!

Thanks to our overwhelming response from party goers we will start having a donation jar this week and going forward.  If you're having a great time and you love our group feel free to donate some cash so we can buy some more equipment (canopy, flag, games, dues, etc.)  Also, if you enjoy yourself please take a moment and rate the group highly.

Here's what I can bring to the Beach Party:

• Two sets of Kan Jam
• Extra Frisbees
• 1 Football
• 4 Badminton Racquets and a bunch of ShuttleCocks
• 1 Medium Size Cooler
• 1 Small Cooler
• Pioneer Boombox
• Pop Chips

We Could Use Some:

• Cornhole or Bean Bag Toss
• Sports Tent
• Beach Ball
• Umbrella
• Any Other Beach Game Stuff You Can Think Of

Here's What You Should Bring:

• Beach Towel
• Sunscreen
• Any Food Or Beverage That You Fancy (Fruits, etc.)
• Sand Socks Or Equivalent For Hot Sand
• Back Up Clothes As The Day Progresses
