  • This location is shown only to members

Join us for an evening of cocktails, appetizers and swapping at our private residence in Santa Monica.

WHO: We welcome everyone, (21+) for this swap, as long as you bring something you made, grew, or foraged yourself! You must pre-register to attend. If you plan to bring a family member or friend who will be swapping their own foods, please register them, as well.

WHEN: Thursday, June 14th 2012, 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm

Please arrive on time to get the most out of your swap.

WHAT TO BRING: All swap items must be packaged in a half-pint mason jars.  Homemade, homegrown, or foraged by you. Think jam, jellies, pickles, spreads, puddings, honey, vinegar... you name it! Each swapper will be required to bring 12 jars of the same item. This month we are encouraging you to bring swap items you might want for hosting your own summertime cocktail party. Also this month we will skip the bid sheets and each swapper will leave with one of every item.

If possible, we encourage you to bring samples.  This will greatly improve everyone's experience!

LEARN MORE: Find out more about the Santa Monica Food Swap and how it works at santamonicafoodswap.com and don't forget to LIKE us on Facebook for updates.

NOTE: If you have signed up for a swap before, you used eventbrite.  For this particular event eventbrite is not setup and we will be using the meetup page for official RSVPs. If you cannot come, please notify us 48 hours before the event.

Good Questions Heather: The theme is cocktails, which does not mean you need to bring alcohol. You do not even need to bring items that fit the theme, but you do need to bring your items packed in half pint jars. Example of items that you could fit with the theme: pickled beans (for bloody mary's), or preserved kumquat's (for knickerbockers). I'm providing cocktails/drinks for the evening's participants. Sorry its all so confusing!

Hey Vyki, nice summer theme for this meetup. I did want to clarify two things. Do we have to bring alcohol or just anything useful for a cocktail party? Also, the half pint jar is just the size right? Does the item have to be preserved?

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
