Easy, Leisurely, Family Friendly Paddle of Braden River\ Lunch at Linger Lodge

Arrive at 9:00 AM to launch at 9:30 AM. ARE YOU READY TO KAYAK A CALM, PEACEFUL RIVER? FOLLOWED BY LUNCH AT WHAT FORBES MAGAZINE CALLS THE WORLDS MOST UNUSUAL RESTAURANT?

THIS IS A GREAT TRIP FOR ROOKIES BUT STILL ENJOYABLE BY EXPERIENCED PADDLERS. WE MAY PADDLE UPRIVER, WE MAY PADDLE DOWNRIVER.... WHO KNOWS, IT'S GOING TO BE AN ADVENTURE!

I know you are probably wondering since when do we do PEACEFUL THINGS? Well, there is a time and a place for everything and this location and setting is perfect for some relaxation to go with your paddle. Linger Lodge has some unusual Florida animal displays including a Jackalope (gotta see it to explain). The menu includes alligator bites, fried green tomatoes, bbq, and seafood. SERVICE CAN BE SLOW, AND SEATING IS SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY. PACK YOUR PATIENCE SINCE WE HAVE NO CONTROL OVER SEATING OR SERVICE. Here is a link to their site. http://www.lingerlodg...

WHAT: We will meet at Linger Lodge and launch from their riverfront launch behind the restaurant on the river bank. We will kayak for about 3 hours, 5-6 miles on the Braden River returning to Linger Lodge for lunch.

I so enjoyed the peaceful paddle back where all I heard was the sound of silence and the oar in the water. Good job all!!!

Also, I want to especially thank Tillman and Ray for fixing my kayak rack... without your help, I never would have gotten my kayak back on the car. Thanks guys!

Big THANKS to Wayne for making this a fun and memorable first-paddle with this group. He's a real pro with a great sense of adventure. Was glad to meet every single person; and my husband was especially pleased that Ray Cap was able to use his kayak. Hope to see you all again!

It was tons of fun and I guess I made it an "Adventure" for all by getting flipped out of my yak by a tree branch and Wayne had to rescue me. Kudos to Wayne, your the best!!! Thanks again Wayne.

I will be bringing an extra kayak in case anyone could use it... it is a flat-bottomed boat, sized for a LARGER person. Please see me, Marje, Saturday morning.
