Alligator Creek "EASY" Paddle

OK ! Here is the perfect paddle for newbies/ novices. Gentle ramp, no currents, protected.We will be doing about 45 minute paddle, one way till we get to the dam. then back to the park , about 1.5 to 2 hours. When we get back to the park, if some or all of you want to go farther, we can go down Alligator Creek , under the old train trestle, under 41, under Burnt Store Rd. and into another county perserve Charlotte Harbor State Perserve. So there is something for every level here. We will return between 12 and 1 PM.

Directions: If coming from Port Charlotte or Venice stay on RT. 41 south., From Sarasota I-75 get off at exit 164, after getting off I-75 stay left,make a left on RT.17 go towards Punta Gorda you will be on RT.17 head towards Punta Gorda  make a left on Cooper St. travel 2.2 miles.You will come to Tamiami Tr. Rt.41 make a left on 41. Travel 2.4 miles. Make a left on Acline Rd.,   Make next left on Oakview Ln.,make next left on Pine Ln. , make next left on Hickory Ct. You are there. Very small park, you can't miss us. If you miss Cooper St. keep going, you will come to RT.41 make a left, then left on Acline Rd.
