NOTE THE NEW DATE for Green Apple Day of Service at Gocio School Garden

NOTE:  Due to a delay in the installation of irrigation to the site we've changed the planting date to Oct 12.

Please volunteer at Gocio Elementary School on October 12 at 9:00 AM.

Bring your hat, garden gloves, water bottle and a garden tool (shovel, trowel, garden fork etc)

We will be setting up raised beds and planting trees at the Gocio Edible School GardenGarden Concept:

Currently the Gocio garden area is a fenced area about 40 ft. by 80 ft.  The garden concept is based on Permaculture principles and is designed to attract students, teachers, and after school participants to the space.

It was a great day. At least 7 fruit trees planted and about a 100 starts. We also built an amazing herb spiral. Great work everyone. Thank you.

This is great our children need to know where our food comes from . I just did several raised garden beds made out of used metal roofing panes 18" high and lined the bottom with cardboard and layered with compost and top soil. I am also staring a food forest in my front yard, permaculture style . Great compost from One Stop Landscaping and top soil on sale @ only 14.00 a yard, tell them I sent you for your discount ....stock up now and they deliver to boot!
