Join us for an introduction to sprouting with Simply Organix co-founders (and mother/son duo) Katherine Jouan and Daniel Bouvier. Katherine and Daniel will cover sprouting basics and offer up some tasty recipes for fresh sprouts. Simply Organix, is a “living food” business that brings Katherine's passion for healthy living to the community.
Katherine has been exploring her passion for health and wellness for over three decades, following her path through formal education, travel and life experience. She holds a Masters Degree in Mental Health Counseling, is a Certified Integrative Health Coach through Duke Integrative Medicine, a Licensed Massage Therapist , trained in many areas of body work , a Reiki Master, has received her training in Mindfullness Based Stress Reduction through Jon Kabat-Zinn/University of Massachusetts Medical School, and is Certified in Plant Based Nutrition through Cornell University. She works facilitating groups and on a one-on-one basis with people who have the desire to seek joy, personal health and well-being. She believes in meeting you where you are and will take you where you want to go through an effective, integrated, sustainable and life changing approach that is simple and enjoyable!
Daniel Bouvier has farmed and gardened many places across the globe but his favorite place is his home, Englewood Florida. Daniel his mother Katherine Jouan had been growing sprouts for decades but it wasn't until 2010 that they decided to share their bounty with Simply Organix. Daniel is a certified permaculture designer and has been interested in plants ever since he can remember. Healthy Living is the focal point of Daniel's life and he is always happy to share his deep knowledge of his botanical friends.
