Sunset Bridge Walk

We will be walking the bridge tonight , under the bridge at Bird Key , and back.  The sun should be setting and the lights should be on walking back (.Diane has agreed to host this walk every Thursday night through September.)  Following our return lets hang out at O'Learys Tiki Bar for a cool down beverage and some music. Wear comfortable shoes! Meet t the Sailor Statue.  This a great opportunity to stay connected during the hot months of summer and also for those who are new to the area  to get started in making some new friends.

It's not so much that your comments are "hurtful" but your tone is less than friendly i.e. What is it with pet owners? Pet owners are usually kind, friendly and tolerant. Perhaps you should get a dog???

Is "ridiculous" your word for the day. For someone who is giving advice about interacting and having fun with others, you have a strange way of going about it. No need to respond with another "ridiculous." I'm done.

Carolyn is the organizer of this meetup group, but as a long-time member of the group, I would hope that our members are tolerant of other members. While everyone is welcome to walk the Ringling Bridge with groups or without, the question of whether or not dogs are welcome on our walks was an appropriate one. I had hoped that my answer would make the choice whether or not to include a small dog more informed for the asker. Please refrain from making remarks that are hurtful.

The bridge is a public conveyance, and dogs are not prohibited. We plan to go to O'Leary's afterwards for socializing. They do allow dogs, but there is no wait staff for the tables, so the dog would have to be left outside while going inside to order.
