When you arrive at the Park, there is an entrance fee of $4.00, or you can make your own carpooling arrangements at $6.00 a car. Drive to the Nature Center, at the end of the park road, to meet Joyce Leary who will lead the walk.
This is an opportunity to get to know the "wild side" of Florida. Today, Joyce will lead us on the Green Trail ...this trail is a combination of hard-packed grass and loose sand that covers 3 miles. We'll pass an eagle's nest, but the juvenile eaglets fledged in February, so we may see them in the area. We may see the Great Horned Owl near it's nest...plus other birds, including the Florida Scrub Jay. Bring binoculars, if you have them.
This trail is in full sun (sunscreen & hat). Bring water.
