1 attended (est.) – No rating yet Below are the details from the Coordinators in NYC setting up the End the Fed rally next Sunday, November 22nd. For those in the Capital District wanting to go (we already have 16+ RSVP'd), Dan Neumann is organizing the trip down and making arrangements for a bus/carpool. Since the rally begins at 12, you should plan on showing up at the meeting point (to be determined this week by Dan) at around 7:30 AM so we would leave around 8AM. RSVP at: http://www.meetup.co With the threat of a watered down version of HR 1207 & S604 looming, it is time to turn up the AUDIT THE FED pressure cooker! This END THE FED rally marks the one year anniversary of the End The Fed! Movement and it is vital that we continue raising awareness of the cause. With the experience of two prior rally's in NYC under our belt, we have learned a few things to make this protest a bit more productive. We are taking our efforts to the streets in a more organic, grassroots way. No yelling at empty buildings (well, maybe a little) and no speakers preaching to the choir. Our mission is to educate. Our job is to take our passion and knowledge to the people of NYC in order to garner greater support for HR1207 & S604. Our focus is to drive as many people as possible to breathe down the necks of NY's Representatives and Senators so they can do the right thing "By the People." Our method is to speak with and to put as much literature regarding the Fed in the hands of the public en masse in order to create a new wave of citizens impassioned by the true underlying problem at hand. With your help, the congressfolks who have yet to co-sponsor either bill will be forced to feel the economic pain of the people as they make their voices heard to keep the Federal Reserve Transparency Act and the Federal Reserve Sunshine Act in tact, as written. We will not settle for anything less and there is no compromise. A full, independent audit of the Federal Reserve is absolutely necessary and crucial for American citizen's to understand why their pockets have been looted; why their savings has been diminished as the dollars' value drops; why the incessant boom and bust cycles exist; why we can "afford' endless immoral wars; why the middle class is disappearing; why the same banks who have gotten rich by robbing us blind in the first place then, again, benefit in the form of bailouts at the taxpayers' expense; why the "lender of last resort" is accountable to NO ONE; And, the beat goes on...... This rally will be short, sweet and powerful. We have modified many AUDIT THE FED document files to include the NYCCFL MeetUp address and posted them here in the files section. The links to these files are provided below. Pick and choose which file(s) suits your fancy and print out as many as you can. No one should come empty handed. Timeline: 12 noon - Meet at the Fed Bank of NY. Here we will spend an hour getting our selves pumped up while we hand out flyers to the passersby. There it is. Three short, productive hours. Again, no one should come empty handed. Keeping the AUDIT THE FED bills in tact may be fruitless lest we continue raising awareness and then providing the newly awakened citizen's the necessary tools to accomplish the timely, pertinent goals put forth in HR 1207 & S604. 1 attended (est.) – No rating yet On Tuesday, October 27th, the John Birch Society is hosting another large lecture at the Albany Marriott at 7:30 PM (show up at 7PM, as seats will be limited and the presentation starts sharply on time). JBS President, John McManus is doing a follow-up speech to his Overview of America. This lecture will be filmed and distributed as a DVD to hundreds of thousands, so please dress respectfully. Unlike the last speech with Katherine Albrecht which was standing room only with 500 attendees, this time the room will only fit 350, so there will be very limited seating. Buy tickets at http://www.jbsny.org This will be a very good event. |

3 attended (est.) – No rating yet The Federal Reserve is directly responsible for all the booms and busts of the last 100 years, including the Tech and Housing bubble. Behind Congress's back, the Federal Reserve granted and guaranteed upwards of $11 Trillion to Goldman Sachs, AIG, and foreign central banks at the expense of the American people. The Federal Reserve failed in its main task to tackle inflation and maintain the value of the dollar, as the dollar lost 97% of its value since the Federal Reserve was created. This is the reason why 20 years ago a single income was enough to sustain a family, and today two incomes is barely enough. The Federal Reserve is neither Federal as it is a quasi-private cartel of banks (the same banks who received the bailouts) nor does it have any reserves as it creates money out of thin air. This creates the worse kind of tax of all, inflation, that hits senior citizens on fixed incomes and the poor the worse. Watch this video for the fascinating history and truth on the Federal Reserve as given by G. Edward Griffin: Bring your signs, cameras, and smiles.

1 attended (est.) – No rating yet Congressman Tonko will have his first public Town Hall meeting on Health Care, so be there to engage in your civic duty on your opinion on the current Health Care Reform Bill. This should be a big one, as word has it that they are bussing 200-300 SEIU paid "volunteers" Bring your signs and American & Gadsen Flags. If you want to speak, make a line for the microphones.
1. Get off 90 at the Slingerlands exit (85). Go all the way to the end of the Slingerlands bypass. You can get on to Cherry Ave either by getting off at the second roundabout and go up New Scotland Road a bit and get on Cherry at the next roundabout or you can continue on 85 through four roundabouts to Cherry. Continue up Cherry, crossing Delaware Ave and Cherry eventually turns in to Elm Ave. There is only one entrance. 2. You can come up the Delmar Bypass (32), turn left on to Cherry and that turns in to Elm Ave. Again one entrance.
As you enter the park there will be a large parking lot on the right. Probably the police will be telling you where you can and cannot park. If you park here there is a path from the lot through the tennis courts to the Large Pavilion.
If you can’t park there, follow the signs to the Large Pavilion. You will go through the lot for the Pool Complex. If the weather is good that lot will be full since this is the last week the pool is open. Go through the lot and bear to the right. You will wind around past some buildings and the children’s playground and the dog park. Follow the road (there is a wicked speed bump) past the ball fields and you will see the Large Pavilion. There are parking places along the road by the ball fields and two lots by the Pavilion itself. Again everything will depend on where the Town and Police tell you to park. On top of that there is a Park and Ride lot right where 32 meets Cherry Ave, just a short way from the park if people want to consolidate cars.
Parking: All vehicles must park in the pavilion parking lots which are located just east and south of the pavilion. Vehicles may unload at the pavilion, but must park in the lot. Handicapped parking is available near the pavilion and regulations for handicapped parking will be enforced. Vehicles may not park on grass or roadway. Guardrails may not be removed to access the pavilion with a vehicle.
Seating Capacity: 350 adults comfortably at one time. I would get there early if you actually want to sit inside. |
