Hubble movie on the nation's largest IMAX screen!

Holy crap! Have you seen how cool the Hubble movie looks?!

Launch the Hubble movie website and/or watch the trailer here.

Clinton posted an idea to see this together, and a lot of you voted it up. I love the idea too, so let's do it!

The movie is only showing at the Liberty Science Center in Jersey City. According to their website, this IMAX is "the nation’s largest IMAX Dome screen, 88 feet in diameter." So you get to see stuff like this on crazy monster-sized vision...

-----------------

THIS JUST IN!

Normal ticket price is $9 for the movie. With a group of ~20, we'll receive the discounted rate of $7.75, so RSVP and let me know if you're bringing a friend!

------------------

I've scheduled this for the 3:15 showing on Saturday, April 17. Let's meetup a bit beforehand to greet each other and make sure we're all comfortably situated. (The theatre says people have to be there 15 mins ahead of time to be seated.)

I'd also love to do something before or after to have some family fun time that doesn't involve needing to speak loudly to be heard. :) More on that later.

OMG! The fly-through of the Orion nebula made my jaw drop. I was dumbfounded through 80% of this film. Amazing.

I wish it was longer though :(

    The Biergarten afterwards was awesome!

Stunning real images of the galaxies and incredible sound effects! And I'm glad to have watched it with my nerdy new friends! They also turn out to be some of the coolest ppl in the city with awesome jobs!

The movie was so good, but I have to say, the beer garden hang out time was my favorite part. I'm thrilled that I get to hang out with such awesome people!

Excellent. Yeah, I see that the light rail stop is close by.

Question: Are we purchasing tix in advance or when we get there?

I'm definitely down to explore the center. Never been. Or drinks. I'm game either way :)

Looks like the Center is accessible by PATH/Light Rail. If you need directions, I recommend getting them from the Google map page for the Science Center: http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=...
