Some description: our community is in the middle, there, that big clusterfuck of problems. We're a race of people who emergency evac'd to this planet via escape pods, and the planet just does not like us. It's sentient, the planet, and it rejects all of our movements. So we have no food or water, but we do have infinitely renewable energy. We start domesticating the wildlife, and we find that the soil grows root vegetables crazy fast (like, next day), and we get some condensers going, and all is good. Then outsiders show up - robot pilgrims angry we screwed up their temple. More of our people, a splinter tribe, mutated by decades of previous adaptation on this planet. And the planet itself, sending earthquakes, evil sentient clouds, and finally deciding to just plain end its orbit and stop spinning, in an attempt to eradicate us. So in the middle, that's our camp, our medical tents, facilities, etc. We're surrounded by a handful of towers that radiate energy that powers our stuff. North of us is a massive temple that is half robotic, half flesh. We blow our way in eventually and loot it. The locals are not happy. Farms are to the northwest. Far south of us are the remains of some terrible cyborg alien. We scavenge its body for parts and meat. Northeast: mysterious holes that lead to who knows where. Southeast: to the others' camps, and to the mercury river. We end up dying mere weeks before we get our escape pods lashed together into a crude spaceship, ready to depart.
