$15 if you come with your own kayak, to join our group.(we do not accept checks or credit cards, cash only)

This is a magical paddle. Like being transported into the land of Hobbits. I did the paddle a few days ago and loved it. There is no current so the paddling is EASY! We will launch from the Tommy Long Boat Launch off Wylly Rd and paddle down to the Savannah River. Get out and hike a short distance up the road to check out the museum and old pioneer buildings & cemetery from the early 1800's. Ebenezer was once the capital of Ga for a short time. There is lots of history here. Sherman crossed over the Ebenezer Creek in his march and many slaves died crossing the creek because the southerners were chasing them and shooting at them as they were escaping to the north with the troops of Sherman's Army.

Please bring a bagged lunch with you, so we can eat together when we stop at the Savannah River. After exploring the old buildings, ect and lunch we will paddle back up Ebenezer Creek to where we launched from. Which is a easy paddle back. EASY! Plan on being out for the day. The paddle down is a relaxing EASY 1 hr paddle and the same back. We can paddle up passed the launch point to explore the area some more, if the group wants.

This will be a favorite paddle for many. It's so beautiful the whole way. I WILL NEED AT LEAST 4 PEOPLE SIGNING UP FOR ME TO DO THIS PADDLE. IF NOT I WILL HAVE TO CANCEL.

I will meet people at 9:45 am & we will leave at 10:00 am sharp from Behind the Pirate's House on East Broad. So if you want to car pool or just follow us for directions to where we will be leaving from on Ebenezer Creek be at the BACK parking lot of the Pirate's House Restaurant on 20 East Broad, right off of Bay St. in the BACK PARKING LOT, not the side parking lot. It is around a 45 min to 1 hr drive to where we launch from at Tommy Long boat launch.

Driving directions take

I-95 N to exit 109, turn L at exit end onto Hwy 21. Keep going till you are in Rincon, Ga. ABOUT 15 MIN.

Once pass city/town part of RINCON, keep eye out for East 4th Street on your right. Turn RIGHT. This road changes names several times from EAST 4th St to RINCON STILLWELL RD. , to CO RD 307, to LONG BRIDGE RD. Once it is LONG BRIDGE RD. Slow down and look for WYLLY RD on RIGHT. Turn RIGHT onto WYLLY RD. This road changes names one time from WYLLY to HIGH BLUFF RD. Once it changes to HIGH BLUFF RD look for 554 HIGH BLUFF RD on your right. Now look for a dirt road on LEFT right passed this address which is on your right. Turn L onto 1st dirt Rd on L about 100 ft past 554 HIGH BLUFF RD Rd. there is no street sign. It is Tommy Long Rd but the sign is gone.

Please call me with any questions you might have. [masked] or if you are lost.
