Savvy Sex is a new wave, feminist organization devoted to the promotion of healthy attitudes and politics regarding gender identity, sexual orientation and sexuality. We aim to reshape society's narrowly defined views of our sexual selves through a combination of socializing and political action.

We believe that in order for real change to occur, we must tackle biased beliefs and legislation. This requires that individuals go beyond simply protesting or living a Sex in the City or L Word lifestyle.

Some key issues that we plan to address affecting sexual health, emotional well-being and sexual enjoyment are:

Reproductive Rights and Health;
Sexual Assault;
LGBTQII issues within and outside of the community;
Body Image;
Race and Sexual Perceptions;
Immigration and Reproductive Health Policies;
Sex Work;
Sexual Trafficking;
and more!

Join us! We'd love to hear your thoughts and ideas.

 It's a casual space where we can all talk about things that really interest us, under the umbrella of feminism. ...

      “I just relocated to New York from Seattle, and I'm interested in connecting with other people with similar interests. I work in the domestic violence field, and many of the issues you discuss are relevant to my work.”

      “I know you wrote to me ages ago and I didn't respond, but I was feeling a bit vulnerable with my asexuality. It's pretty much just a complete lack of attraction to anyone. As for organic causes, I'm really not sure. I'm dealing with some depression, so the symptoms and the meds throw in a whole other set of variables. But I'm really making my peace with it now.”
