Scalatron Hackathon at Originate in SF

Scalatron is a free, open-source programming game in which bots, written in Scala, compete in a virtual arena for energy and survival. This is a friendly tournament (except for killing your neighbor's bot) and a great way to learn or grow in Scala.

Just bring your laptop and an empty stomach, you don't even need Scala installed as everything is compiled on the server.

5:30 - Arrival / Networking / Eat hot pizza
6:00 - Start building bot
8:00 - Kill all humans / start competition
8:30 – Decompress /network / eat cold pizza

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
