Flash for Databases - Why Micron is 5 times faster than Fusion-IO

Presenter: Scott Shadley, Senior Business Development Manager, Micron Technology

When it comes to real-time big data and NoSQL databases, some SSDs perform better than others. Micron’s Scott Shadley talks about the latest SSD developments, Micron’s total solution set of SSD products and why MIcron drives perform as well as they do.

Learn about the Aerospike Certification Tool (ACT) for SSDs - the standard for testing SSDs for databases. Aerospike founder & CTO Brian Bulkowski will show you how to use the tool to determine which SSD will work for your database deployment. Brian will also review the latest test results.

About Aerospike
Aerospike is the only real-time NoSQL database built from the ground up to take advantage of today’s multi-core, multi-processor architectures and solid-state drives (SSDs). That’s what makes it fast – 500k TPS per node with sub-millisecond latency. Hybrid architecture with indexes in-memory and data either in-memory or on flash. Strong consistency, tightly coupled clusters (auto replication, re-balancing, cross data center synchronization) reliably store billions of objects and terabytes of data. Native flash means fewer servers, less power, lower ops costs than with just DRAM. Deployed in demanding environments for almost 3 years with no downtime. See our other events at
