Shhh! She’s not supposed to tell, but she does! How she got here from the “old country. . where she lives. . . what trouble she causes….
Jan Smith is a trollologist who tells stories about the Tusselader (nuisance troll), the Huldra (mysterious troll) and other miscellaneous trolls and will also explain why life at your house is sometimes in an uproar.
Storytelling has always been an important part of Jan’s life. In her early childhood, her father used to tell fairytales and Norse myths when the family did the barn chores. Later Jan began to learn and tell the stories herself in speech contests and at 4-H functions. After receiving her degree at Moorhead University in speech, drama and English, she became a teacher and a stage performer. Today she spends her time public speaking, storytelling, writing, paper cutting and volunteering.
Come and hear how the troll has “adapted” to human ways on April 8th, 6:30pm, at our next Sons of Norway meeting.
Don't forget the ice cream social with lots of toppings.
