The state of our public school system is very alarming. What I see is a cookie-cutter approach the design of which is to educate an army of workers to serve those that have's. Since when did we teach our children it is OK to go get a good job by getting a good "education" without asking "what is the purpose of having a good job?" Since when the US no longer becomes the land of opportunity where every one has an equal shot of becoming somebody without an education? What has happened to the entrepreneurial spirits the America? Why does it cost so much to get a college education yet a job upon college education is not guaranteed? It's time to rethink how we can reshape our future and the future of our next generation by asking the hard question: are there other alternatives out there to educating our children so that they can be leaders and not followers?
To help facilitate this discussion, I have created this forum to exchange ideas among all concerned parents. Let's hear what your concerns are and how we, as a collective group of concerned parents, can help you. Let's talk.
