What attracted you to the School of Commoning?

I co-founded the School for three reasons: 1. I don't know any other group focused on educational services in the area of the Commons & commoning as we, in the SoC, understand the latter. 2. I'm in my 60s, a decade of synthesis of the main streams that have been giving meaning and joy to me in most of my life. For the last couple of years, I've been having a growing curiosity for discovering the form that synthesis will take. No more waiting and guessing. The Commons and commoning define that area of synthesis because they seamlessly connect my triple passion for the evolution of consciousness, organisations and communities, and humankind as whole.

Which type of commons - cultural (including knowledge and digital), natural (land, forests, waters, etc) material (e.g. physical peer production and worker cooperatives) is of the most interest to you?

Well, the School of Commoning is designed to support commons of all the three types but my personal and professional background is more directly related to communities of practice, virtual communities, non-traditional work organisations, knowledge ecosystems and things like that.

Introduction

I'm an evolutionary thinker/activist/mentor, founder of CommunityIntelligence, Fellow of Future Considerations, a researcher of knowledge ecology and collective intelligence. I dream of a world, where the blossoming of each is the goal of the whole.
