"The Last Wish" by Andrzej Sapkowski is a witcher, a man whose magic powers, enhanced by long training and a mysterious elixir, have made him a brilliant fighter and a merciless assassin. Yet he is no ordinary murderer: his targets are the multifarious monsters and vile fiends that ravage the land and attack the innocent. He roams the country seeking assignments, but gradually comes to realise that while some of his quarry are unremittingly vile, vicious grotesques, others are the victims of sin, evil or simple naivety.

Important Meetup Information:

Due to the holiday season we will be avoiding the mall and using our previous meetup venue of the Barnes & Noble in Glastonbury. Unfortunately this means that we have to put a hard cap of 15 attendees on the meetup. The slots are being offered to recent (last two meetups) attendees first, and then if there are any remaining slots they will be first come, first served starting on Monday the 19th. There will be a wait list.

If you are an active member who was at one of the last two meetups (Redshirts/Innsmouth) and aren't getting my emails for some reason (Angela...?) then just send me (Brad) an email directly through this site.

We will be returning to the Carousel Court for the meetup in January and for the foreseeable future. Thank you in advance for your patience and understanding.

Book felt a little disjointed but had some interesting side characters.

Just a friendly reminder , if you're not coming tonight, please change your RSVP to no sooner rather than later to give the next person on the waiting list a fair chance to be notified if that they will be able to attend. Thanks.

When I bought the book for my Nook, the description said this guy outsells Stephen King and Michael Crichton in Poland, where he is from. Guess this series is huge over there...thought that was interesting.
