New friends and time well spent. As stated before its difficult to find people of like interests in this area. I found myself to be an outcast in school, but in my young adulthood have found happiness in who I am. Still, it's nice to be around like minded folks :)
TV: Doctor Who, Once Upon A Time are my main favorites. Other series that have held me captive in the past are Criminal Minds, Trigun, Firefly, Star Trek NG (I ❤ Data), Sailor Moon, Spice and Wolf, American Horror Story, Moonlight and Ghost Whisperer. Pretty excited for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D too. I don't have enough characters to even come close to my favorite movies (I'm sort of a moviephile) and people have refused to play Scene It! with me especially the Disney edition. Most favorite book would be Harry Potter just on sheer principle. I was one of the lucky ones to be the same age as the characters as the books were released and it pretty much is my childhood. 2nd favorite series would be Vampire Academy. Cheesy sounding name I know, but a well written series that blows Twilight out of the atmosphere let alone the water.
Currently work in customer service though my end goal is to become a counselor for at risk/in crisis teenagers as well as girls coming out of the juvenile correction system.
No conventions (yet!), but I was a cast member of the North Carolina Renaissance Faire for three years and still attend Faire's along the east coast when possible. I've made my own Halloween costumes for the past 3 years (yes I sew) and hope to attend a convention soon. I would love to cosplay as Holo The Wise Wolf someday.
Reading (fantasy mostly), movies, musicals, theatre, improv comedy, writing, sewing, painting, drawing, animals (I have two furbabies Arabelle a chihuahua and a cat Evinrude who just had babies herself if anyone is interested in giving them a home!) Christian apologetics, casual gamer, trivia, antiques, steampunk, and I think that just about covers it :)
Hail and well met! My name is Emily and I love the idea of this group. It's difficult to find people of like interests in this area it seems. At 23 I am a working girl soon to be (again) student. This sounds like fun!
