"Brain porn" is a derogatory term for misleading popularizations of neuroscience.­

I would largely agree with the above opinion.

Here is a response.


But the argument is not that neuroscience may not helpful in explaining human experience. It is that POP neuroscience generalizes neuroscientific results in ways that are not warranted by careful analysis of the actual results, which can only come reading the papers themselves.
